                                               Abstract
Background SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV were associated with critical maternal illness, spontaneous
abortion, or even maternal death. To prevent COVID-19 intrauterine, perinatal, and postnatal transmission,
pregnant women usually received a cesarean section. Objective To observe clinical and laboratory findings
in infants born from mother infected with covid19.Methods An observational cohort of fifteen babies born
from confirmed covid 19 during 1 January 2021 to July 2021. Results These data describes the clinical course
of fifteen live born infants born to pregnant women with the COVID-19 infection. Based on the data, two
babies died, with moderate respiratory distress, which was characterized by flaring of the nose and subcostal
and intercostal retractions. Most babies have active general awareness and reflexes decrease. In the lab results
obtained a decreased hematocrit value, APTT in the first minute and INR increase. From 15 newborns born
with mother confirmed covid 19, we found 66.7 % resulted + in nasopharynx PCR swab, 33.3 % have clinical
disorders. Conclusion Positive maternal swab results do not always lead to positive results in neonates.

Background Collodion Baby is a rare congenital disorder characterized by tight membranes such
as parchment covering the entire body, often accompanied by ectropion and eversion of the lips.
Objective To report patients with collodion baby in newborns. Case A 1-day-old baby girl was referred
with aterm baby with minor for gestational age and low birth weight, ichthyosis accompanied by sepsis.
Childbirth reports were liquid green amniotic, APGAR 7/9, birth weight is 2000 grams. The patient's mother
has hypertension and itching on the final month. The skin appears red, dry, and squama based on physical
examination, and movements are limited. In addition, ectropion occurred in both eyes and eclabion on the
lips. The baby was then placed in an incubator with a temperature of 36-37°Celsius. On the supporting
examination, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia were obtained. In addition, the results of blood gas analysis
at 2 days of age showed metabolic acidosis with a pH of 7.3. Treatment was given to meet the hydration level
and nutrition, besides that antibiotics, skincare, and moisturizer were given. The patient had an improvement
after 13 days of treatment. Conclusion Diagnosis in this patient is confirmed based on the patient's clinical
appearance. First aid in a collodion baby can be done by fulfilling basic needs, proper hydration, controlling
infections by skin, eye, and ear care (maintaining moisture).
