                                               Abstract
Background Short stature is one of health children problem in Indonesia which is still not overcome. Short
stature is occurred by many factors and one of them is zinc deficiency. Objective The purpose of the study is
to analyze the value of zinc serum on short stature children. Methods The study was a cross sectional which
was conducted from October 2019 to February 2020. The amount of samples was 91 samples, 31 short
stature samples and 60 normal samples. The measurements of height and weight were aimed to determine
the nutrient status of the samples. Then, the examinations of zinc serum value were conducted. The data were
analyzed biaveriately using Chi square analysis and Mann Whitney. Results The result of the study indicated
that 91 subjects of study, there were 31 short stature children and 60 normal children. The prevalence of
short stature in this study was 15,7% and prevalence of zinc deficiency was 38,07%. The result of bivariate
analysis indicated there was no significant difference on frequency of zinc deficiency between short stature
children and normal children P= 0.793. But, there was significant difference zinc serum level between short
stature children and normal children P< 0.001. Conclusion There was zinc deficiency on both short stature
and normal children, but the level of zinc serum on short stature children was lower than normal children.

                                               Abstract
Background Ages and Stages Questionnaires - Third Edition (ASQ-3) is a parent completed questionnaire,
a developmental screening tool for children in 42, 48, 54, 60 months of ages, but it has never been tested
for validity and reliability in Indonesian language version. Objective Validity and reliability test of ASQ-3
questionnaires in Indonesian language for identification developmental delayed in children of 42, 48, 54,
60 months of ages. Methods Cross sectional study of ASQ-3 questionnaires was tested to their parents of
children either healthy or high risk for developmental delays, in Kampung Melayu and Cipinang Muara,
East Jakarta. Study was divided into 2 phases. The first phase was transcultural adaptation of the ASQ-3
questionnaires from English to Indonesian language. The second phase was to tested the validity by analyzed
using Pearson Correlation, and valid when the value (r) ≥ 0.3. Reliability tests were analyzed using Alpha
Cronbach's coefficient and the reliability was good when the coefficient was ≥ 0.6. Results The reliability of
the four age groups of the Indonesian ASQ-3 questionnaires showed good reliability (0.60-0.80). Correlation
of each item questions generally showed good validity in aged 48 and 54 months, but lower in aged 60
months (only 1 item) and 42 months (3 items). Conclusion ASQ-3 questionnaires in Indonesia language
was valid and reliable to be used as developmental screener for children of 48, 54, 60 months of ages, but
lower in communication domain for 42 months of ages.
